RATIONALE

Ace Media and Golden Cronica Pub. are committed to bringing a series of training program for Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) and Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teachers that will enhance their knowledge and skills and help them become more prepared to handle the K-12 HELE/TLE curricula. This seminar-workshop, first of a series, is designed to equip teachers with innovative teaching strategies, challenging evaluation techniques, and handicraft skills that will enhance students’ interest for learning, thus help in producing graduates who are equipped with the 21st century skills that are essential for both global competitiveness and life-long learning.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the seminar-workshop, the participants will be able to: 1. acquire innovative K-12 HELE/TLE teaching strategies that are geared towards the development of students’ 21st century skills; 2. discuss effective evaluation techniques for assessing students’ learning (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains); 3. create interesting handicraft projects that will inspire and enhance students’ skills; and 4. present lesson demonstrations utilizing innovative strategies and evaluation techniques learned from the seminar- workshop.

PARTICIPANTS The Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) and Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teachers from private schools are the target participants of this FREE seminar-workshop. PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES Morning Session 8:00-8:30 Registration of Participants
